The EAAA India Alternatives IPO opens on 26 October 2026 and closes on 28 October, at a price band of ₹1,585 to ₹1,665 a share in lots of 9 shares (₹14,985 at the top of the band). The ₹1,200 crore issue is entirely an offer for sale by Edelweiss Securities & Investments, part of the Edelweiss group, so EAAA itself receives none of the money (Confirmed: company announcement of 20 October, as reported by ANI). Anchor bidding is on 23 October and the shares are expected to list on BSE and NSE on 2 November.
EAAA, formerly Edelweiss Alternative Asset Advisors, is one of the larger Indian managers of alternative investment funds. It earns steady management fees on the money it runs and a less predictable share of fund returns on top. At the upper band the company is valued at about ₹10,765 crore, or roughly 40.6 times its FY26 profit of ₹265.2 crore (calculated).

Kotak Securities’ IPO page says the offer also carries a reservation for employees and for shareholders of Edelweiss Financial Services (Reported). We have not been able to confirm the size or the eligibility date of that shareholder quota from the red herring prospectus, so Edelweiss shareholders should check the RHP before bidding in that category.
What EAAA India Alternatives does
EAAA raises money from pension funds, insurers, sovereign investors, family offices and wealthy individuals, and invests it through alternative investment funds in two broad areas: real assets such as infrastructure and commercial real estate, and private credit, which means lending to companies outside the banking system, including stressed or turnaround situations. It was set up in 2008 and works from Mumbai, New Delhi, GIFT City and Singapore (Free Press Journal).
The figure that matters most for a fund manager is fee-paying assets, because that is what drives recurring income. In its March 2026 investor update, Edelweiss put EAAA’s fee-paying assets at about ₹41,920 crore at the end of December 2025, out of total assets under management of about ₹68,175 crore (Confirmed: Edelweiss Financial Services investor update). The RHP figure for 31 March 2026 is about ₹44,710 crore (Reported, from an RHP summary). Edelweiss also told the exchanges in March that it had sold a 4.4% stake in EAAA for ₹375 crore.
EAAA financials: revenue, profit and returns
| ₹ crore | FY24 | FY25 | FY26 | Apr-Jun 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue from operations | 492.58 | 670.26 | 869.54 | 275.53 |
| Total income | 584.25 | 786.54 | 963.76 | 336.13 |
| Net profit | 175.16 | 229.78 | 265.20 | 80.71 |
| Net worth | n/a | n/a | 1,075.54 | n/a |
| Borrowings | n/a | n/a | 441.03 | n/a |
Revenue from operations grew about 36% in FY25 and about 30% in FY26, but profit grew more slowly in FY26, up about 15% after a 31% jump the year before (calculated). That gap is worth noticing: costs rose faster than revenue last year, so margins narrowed even as the business grew. The April to June 2026 quarter was stronger, with ₹80.7 crore of profit against an FY26 quarterly average of about ₹66 crore (calculated), though one quarter of a fund manager’s results can swing with the timing of performance fees.
Returns on capital are high for a financial business. FY26 profit was about 25% of year-end net worth (calculated), and borrowings of ₹441 crore are modest against ₹1,076 crore of net worth, a debt-to-equity ratio of about 0.4.
EAAA IPO valuation: what the price band implies
At ₹1,665 the market value is about ₹10,765 crore, and about ₹10,248 crore at ₹1,585 (Free Press Journal). That works out to roughly 40.6 times FY26 profit and about 10 times year-end net worth (calculated). Listed wealth and asset managers in India also trade at high multiples because their earnings are fee-based and capital-light, but EAAA’s FY26 profit growth of 15% is slower than the multiple suggests investors usually expect at that price.
The more useful comparison is EAAA’s own recent price. The March 2026 sale of 4.4% for ₹375 crore valued the whole company at about ₹8,520 crore (calculated). The IPO’s upper band is about 26% higher, seven months later. Part of that is a normal listing premium over a private placement, and part reflects the profit added since then, but it means the parent is selling at a clearly higher price than its last private deal.
EAAA India Alternatives IPO GMP today
There is no meaningful grey market premium yet. As of 21 October, the trackers we checked either had no quote or showed ₹0 (Unofficial). Grey market quotes for mainboard issues usually form in the days after the price band and the anchor book, so we will add a dated range here once two sources agree. GMP is an unofficial, unregulated indicator and is not a forecast of the listing price; our guide to IPO GMP explains why it often misleads.

EAAA India Alternatives IPO review: strengths and risks
Strengths. The business is profitable and capital-light, with returns on equity around 25%. Fee-paying assets have grown steadily, which supports recurring management fees, and the client base is split between institutions and wealthy investors rather than dependent on one channel. The March 2026 stake sale to outside investors gives a recent private-market reference price.
Risks. This is a 100% offer for sale, so the IPO raises nothing for EAAA’s own growth; it is a partial exit for the parent, which will still own roughly 84% afterwards (calculated from the offer size and a pre-IPO holding of about 95% shown in IPO summaries). Profit growth slowed to 15% in FY26 while the price asks about 40 times earnings. Part of a fund manager’s income comes from performance-linked returns that depend on exits and asset prices, so profits can be uneven. Private credit and stressed-asset funds also carry credit risk that shows up in fund performance and fundraising. Finally, EAAA will remain closely tied to the Edelweiss name and group, so news about the wider group can affect how the stock trades.
Our Scouter Reading: 5,000, Charged
We rate the research case at 5,000 out of 10,000, in the Charged band, which means real strengths and real trade-offs. The quality of the earnings and the high returns on capital count in its favour. The full offer-for-sale structure, slower FY26 profit growth and a price well above the March placement hold it back. The Scouter Reading scores the research case only; it is not a recommendation to apply or avoid.
